 Image Credit: Arthur Mola/AP Oh, Canada. It’s sometimes easy to forget all the great things you’ve given us here south of your border. There’s Justin Bieber, of course, and also Ryan Gosling. And who could forget about poutine? Poutine! Now, another great reminder: The MuchMusic Video Awards, generally considered Canada’s equivalent of the MTV Video Music Awards. It’s perhaps no big surprise that Carly Rae Jepsen came out the big winner at last night’s ceremony, nabbing three major awards. (Fun fact: Josh Ramsay, the frontman of pop-punkers Marianas Trench, who took home several prizes as well, produced “Call Me Maybe.” Synergy!) Katy Perry also won the “UR Fave” trophy for International Artist or Group and the International Video of the Year prize, beating out the likes of Adele, One Direction, Rihanna, and LMFAO.
